No garage door company wants to charge their customers for simple remedies and routine maintenance on garage doors & openers. People get embarassed when they call for service only to have the technician replace a 9-volt battery. But it happens all the time... the remote or keypad stops working and people are not sure why. It's only natural, people who don't work with these things everyday don't know whether a keypad works off the openers power or requires a battery, why would they? We always try to talk them through it on the phone to save us both the aggravation but sometimes you just need to see it.
